Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate Lua code for accuracy, quality, best practices, bugs, and performance issues.
- Complete Lua programming evaluations and scripting tasks, including developing and modifying scripts based on project requirements.
- Use Roblox Studio and Roblox development environments where applicable.
- Provide high-quality technical feedback and code evaluations to support AI model training and training-data development.
- Follow detailed project guidelines and collaborate with the client's AI evaluation platform independently.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Lua programming, including scripting, debugging, and code optimization.
- Hands-on experience using Roblox Studio and/or developing applications or games on the Roblox platform.
- Strong understanding of data structures, functions, modular programming, performance optimization, and other programming fundamentals.
- Ability to independently review, analyze, and improve existing Lua code.
- Professional working proficiency in English and strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed technical instructions.
- Experience developing Roblox games or interactive experiences is preferred.
- Experience reviewing code, conducting technical quality assurance, software testing, debugging, code optimization, or contributing to AI, machine learning, or code evaluation projects is preferred.
Benefits

- Up to $60/hour depending on project availability.
- Expected workload is 10–39 hours per week, with fluctuating work volume.
- Weekly lump-sum payments are made for work completed during the previous week.
- Qualified candidates receive an Upwork contract offer and onboarding instructions.
- Candidates who complete the initial survey may be invited to a paid technical evaluation of approximately 2–3 hours, with approved evaluations paid $150.
- An active Upwork contract with the client is required to begin onboarding and access project tasks.
