Base Salary
$125k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive complex system architecture and design in collaboration with the architecture team.
- Design, build, maintain, and improve scalable business applications and developer-friendly microservices APIs.
- Develop new functionality and maintain existing software components.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Work with stakeholders, product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define and deliver customer-facing experiences.
- Contribute to technical implementation decisions and guide engineering vision.
- Support compliance initiatives and complete required PHI, HIPAA, privacy, compliance, and security training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable program, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of overall software development experience, preferably building secure and scalable web applications with Java.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Java and frameworks such as Spring Framework and Hibernate.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Experience with microservice enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications in heterogeneous environments.
- Strong relational database design, optimization, and SQL programming skills, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with software development lifecycle activities including build, configuration, change control, release, and deployment.
- Front-end experience with React, Sass, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails is a plus.
- Demonstrated teamwork, analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
