Base Salary
$168k - $178k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end projects across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, including experimentation, development, and rollout strategies.
- Architect scalable and robust systems for high-throughput marketing operations with strong performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Design reusable abstractions, automation frameworks, and technical improvements that simplify complexity and improve extensibility.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Operations stakeholders to shape requirements, product direction, and technical strategy.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and onboarding, while improving team productivity through automation.
- Support cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery planning, technical debt management, legacy modernization, security-by-design, and production incident response.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level Python proficiency for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead complete projects from architecture and implementation through experimentation and production rollout.
- Deep experience with Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and dbt.
- Experience designing performant, scalable, robust systems and implementing comprehensive observability solutions.
- Strong product thinking, problem-research skills, and ability to balance technical complexity, business value, and delivery timelines.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-team alignment skills.
- Experience with automation frameworks, reusable abstractions, ad platform APIs such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Snapchat Ads, and conversion tracking at scale.
- Understanding of digital marketing operations and performance marketing KPIs including ROAS, LTV, CAC, and CPA.
- Experience with security-by-design, incident response, cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, technical debt, and legacy system modernization.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and contribute to AI-assisted development infrastructure.
