Responsibilities

  • Build foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, and securely.
  • Apply site reliability and cloud-native engineering practices to mission-critical distributed systems.
  • Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
  • Debug cloud-native distributed systems and improve operational reliability.
  • Influence and educate engineering teams on improved architectural patterns.
  • Create documentation that enables engineer self-service.
  • Design tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS and PaaS systems.
  • Support software engineers and promote continuous delivery across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of applicable experience.
  • Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Experience operating Kubernetes platforms such as AKS or EKS.
  • Experience with managed languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
  • Experience using CI/CD platforms to automate infrastructure provisioning, builds, tests, and releases.
  • Experience using observability tools, including APM, logging, and metrics, for debugging.
  • Experience designing tooling for SaaS/PaaS operational management.
  • Familiarity with flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and empathy for software engineers.
