Responsibilities
- Build foundational platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to provision services rapidly, consistently, and securely.
- Apply site reliability and cloud-native engineering practices to mission-critical distributed systems.
- Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
- Debug cloud-native distributed systems and improve operational reliability.
- Influence and educate engineering teams on improved architectural patterns.
- Create documentation that enables engineer self-service.
- Design tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS and PaaS systems.
- Support software engineers and promote continuous delivery across the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of applicable experience.
- Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience operating Kubernetes platforms such as AKS or EKS.
- Experience with managed languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Experience using CI/CD platforms to automate infrastructure provisioning, builds, tests, and releases.
- Experience using observability tools, including APM, logging, and metrics, for debugging.
- Experience designing tooling for SaaS/PaaS operational management.
- Familiarity with flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and empathy for software engineers.
