Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders and team members to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
- Translate business requests into analytical approaches and execute solutions through completion.
- Design, develop, and support scalable backend services, APIs, data integration solutions, and event-driven applications.
- Collaborate with technical leads and engineering teams while following security and architectural standards.
- Define and develop data integration patterns and pipelines.
- Support team members in developing skills and improving engineering practices.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a Master’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science.
- Proven full-stack development experience, ideally with Python and/or Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including CloudFormation, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Glue ETL, API Gateway, IAM, SQS, SNS, Athena, DMS, and DataSync.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
- Data engineering or design experience, including at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience with web technologies and financial services is advantageous.
- Ability to define and develop data integration patterns and pipelines.
- Collaborative, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and continuously improve.
