Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable Java applications.
- Implement RESTful and SOAP integrations with external systems.
- Develop JEE business logic using application servers.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments.
- Implement security best practices to protect applications, data, and systems.
- Define and document application data models.
- Write clean, documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Use test-driven development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
- Deploy applications to Kubernetes clusters.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and QA engineers.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar Java Developer role.
- Mandatory experience with MCP, Skills, Agents, PostgreSQL or a similar database, data mapping, and VSCode with GitHub or a similar IDE.
- Development experience with Java SE 11 or later.
- Experience and knowledge of JUnit.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with migration tools such as Flyway.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Nice-to-have experience with AWS, Azure, and Terraform.
- Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and English communication skills; German communication skills are a plus.
