Base Salary

$200k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Implement new software features, maintain existing functionality, and deliver work according to estimates.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, production deployments, and data-platform maintenance.
Build and maintain data-platform capabilities and internal user interfaces for internal and external data consumers.
Stay current with data-engineering trends and advocate for appropriate technology adoption.
Manage changes from planning through deployment while contributing hands-on backend and frontend code.

3–5+ years of development experience using object-oriented languages such as TypeScript, C#, and Java.
Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data tasks.
Experience with React and Tailwind CSS.
Familiarity with modern data architectures such as Medallion architectures and data lakes.
Experience with private markets or financial-services data, specifically financial-markets data.
Expertise setting up CI/CD pipelines, data orchestration, application deployments, and code-quality practices.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, SQL queries, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, Git, and GitHub.
Strong project-management skills and experience taking changes from planning through deployment.
Familiarity with Jira or similar project-management tools.
Preferred experience includes legacy-system migrations, real-time data processing, event-driven architectures using WebSockets or Kafka, leading offshore or nearshore teams, and using large language models and agentic workflows.

Hybrid work arrangement requiring two to three days per week in the San Francisco office.
