Senior DevOps Engineer (Environments)
SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Maintain and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD systems across development and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain Helm charts and Chef cookbooks, and deploy and troubleshoot Kubernetes applications.
- Deliver Azure infrastructure changes using Terraform with guidance from senior engineers.
- Maintain and extend test automation infrastructure.
- Create, configure, schedule, and maintain client-facing UAT and test environments, automating repeatable configuration.
- Perform maintenance and upgrades to keep environments current and secure.
- Produce implementation guides for Operations and provide technical support throughout client testing lifecycles.
- Own assigned tasks end to end, escalate risks, and contribute to improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, platform, or environments engineering.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes deployments and troubleshooting, including Helm.
- Experience with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool for cloud deployment.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, PowerShell or Bash scripting, Azure, configuration management, and Windows Servers.
- Hands-on configuration management experience with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible; Chef is preferred.
- Desirable experience includes IBM MQ, T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, XML, JSON, XSLT, Datadog, Linux server administration, Git, Postman, SoapUI, C#, SFTP, and SWIFT/FIX.
- Knowledge of financial services and experience with test-driven development, unit or mocking frameworks, and API testing are desirable.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues are required.
