Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy new user experiences and backend services.
- Own features end-to-end from planning to deployment and iteration.
- Break down complex engineering problems into achievable tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features.
- Contribute to A/B tests and use results to inform shipping decisions.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce good coding practices.
- Coach and mentor junior team members and interns.
- Create shared components and utilities to improve team velocity.
- Maintain and improve runbooks, alerting, and monitoring.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with the team.
- Use AI coding tools to enhance development velocity and code quality.
- Become a subject matter expert in one or more sub-domains.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple features end-to-end efficiently.
- Strong coding skills in React, TypeScript, Java, and modern web tooling.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Good knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools in an engineering workflow.
- Familiarity with good coding patterns and testing practices.
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in code reviews.
- A bias toward shipping and iterating quickly.
- Desire and ability to learn continuously.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
