Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex, scalable, and resilient full-stack applications.
- Develop backend services with Java and frontend applications with React or Angular.
- Design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Design and implement Kafka-based event-driven and real-time data processing solutions.
- Champion Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and reliable software delivery pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, code reviews, work allocation, and coaching to developers and analysts.
- Enforce application development standards for coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and architectural governance.
- Partner with management teams and business stakeholders to define system enhancements and technical solutions.
- Evaluate complex business processes and system flows to resolve high-impact problems.
- Assess technology and business risks and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis, including technical leadership experience.
- Deep full-stack development expertise across backend and frontend technologies.
- Expert-level Java proficiency, including experience with Spring Boot.
- Strong experience designing and building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience with React or Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Proven Apache Kafka experience building event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Deep subject matter expertise in an applications development area and understanding of business, architecture, and infrastructure integration.
- Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Financial technology or large financial institution experience is preferred.
- Investor services experience in custody, fund accounting, transfer agency, or asset servicing is advantageous.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure is preferred.
