Responsibilities
- Design and deliver agentic workflows with Google ADK and Vertex AI, including tool-calling and fallback or escalation paths.
- Build and operate RAG-enabled chatbot and conversational-agent capabilities, optimizing relevance, grounding, citations, and user experience.
- Own production-grade architecture, Python implementation, testing, code reviews, monitoring, runbooks, and operational handover.
- Establish evaluation and quality gates for LLM features using RAGAS, golden datasets, and regression suites.
- Collaborate with technology, product, operations, and risk stakeholders to manage scope and dependencies and meet governance, security, and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud generative AI, especially Vertex AI and Google ADK.
- Production experience building RAG systems, including retrieval tuning, embeddings, chunking, grounding, and citations.
- Experience developing conversational applications such as chatbots and agents.
- Excellent Python software engineering skills and working knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Experience with API design, testing, performance, maintainability, Terraform on GCP, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
- Awareness of security and compliance requirements in regulated environments, including PII handling, auditability, access control, and prompt-injection or data-leakage mitigation.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and solve business problems while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
