Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance backend services for large-scale data-processing applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable data-processing architectures using modern design patterns for intensive calculations and business logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver product features.
- Maintain backend performance and responsiveness while resolving bugs and system bottlenecks.
- Apply test-driven development, static code analysis, and code-quality practices using tools such as SonarQube.
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and data joins for complex data pipelines.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools and prompt-engineering techniques to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing Java backend applications using Java 17 or later.
- Strong proficiency in the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational or NoSQL databases, including query and data-model optimization.
- Understanding of in-memory data loading and efficient data-joining strategies for large data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Java build tools such as Maven or Gradle and testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience with design patterns, microservices, event-driven architecture, test-driven development, and static code analysis tools such as SonarQube.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift; Apache Spark or Apache Flink; and a related master's degree.
