Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, debug, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues directly with customers.
- Work with developers to identify product defects and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Test new features and develop tools to improve product serviceability, deployment scalability, and auto-support infrastructure.
- Analyze the customer base to avoid and minimize risks in the install base.
- Define product changes with development engineering based on customer and partner feedback.
- Collaborate with VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, and AWS technology partners to resolve issues and improve the ecosystem.
- Develop internal and external knowledge bases and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide weekday and off-hours support through an as-needed and scheduled rotational basis.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional troubleshooting expertise in at least two of virtualization, networking, Linux systems, DevOps, cloud, or enterprise storage.
- Preferred experience with VMware ESXi, Layer 2/3 networking, and Linux command-line administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
