Responsibilities
- Understand customer business drivers and translate requirements into Everpure and ecosystem-based technical solutions.
- Partner with account managers, specialists, channel partners, product teams, and technical marketing to drive revenue and new business.
- Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, functional testing, and performance validation.
- Develop and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts.
- Author and lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, whitepapers, and web presentations.
- Provide technical leadership on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings.
- Track competitive positioning, market trends, technology roadmaps, and alliance planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Required prior pre-sales experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
- Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
- Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
- Knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
- Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, Linux distributed network environments, distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Familiarity with LAMP, scale-out and scale-up architectures, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technology to customers.
