Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex product features from problem definition through delivery.
- Identify bottlenecks and build solutions that improve development speed and product outcomes.
- Own user experience, component architecture, performance, and accessibility decisions end to end.
- Build polished, responsive interfaces that simplify complex insurance workflows.
- Iterate on existing features using user feedback and product metrics.
- Mentor and coach other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production web applications with TypeScript and React.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and component design patterns.
- Experience collaborating across APIs and backend systems.
- Demonstrated ownership, high agency, strong judgment, and ability to drive work to completion.
- Track record of shipping high-quality user experiences without compromising velocity.
- Experience mentoring engineers and elevating team capabilities.
- Preferred: Python backend development experience, familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure, high-growth startup or 0-to-1 experience, and interest in fintech, insurtech, or regulated industries.
