Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable multi-tenant backend services and APIs.
- Build and maintain tested, performant, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Contribute to functional strategy and lead projects supporting team and engineering deliverables.
- Author, collaborate on, and evaluate technical design documents.
- Influence technical designs, team-level prioritization, and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineering teams, and data engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across services and the full technology stack.
- Mentor junior engineers in technical skills and Webflow culture.
- Participate in engineering citizenship activities, including engineering blogs, hiring-process improvements, and internal hackathon leadership.
- Contribute to either Webflow Cloud or the next-generation Webflow e-Commerce platform, with team preference discussed during interviews.
Requirements
- Business-level fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and deploying web applications with a proven record of shipping code.
- Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript and experience building scalable services and APIs with Express.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and MongoDB.
- Ability to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Proven experience building complex web systems.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Comfort working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment.
- Curiosity, openness to growth, and proactive adoption of emerging AI technologies.
