Base Salary
$128k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deliver full-stack features using TypeScript, Node.js/Express, React, API clients, and AWS services.
- Build accessible and responsive web interfaces using established components, patterns, and development standards.
- Integrate platform capabilities supporting application builds, deployments, identity, storage, networking, and observability in AWS.
- Make scoped enhancements to Terraform modules and collaborate with platform engineers on infrastructure plans and changes.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Diagnose and resolve application, pipeline, deployment, and cloud integration issues using logs, metrics, and observability tools.
- Maintain API specifications, technical documentation, and other engineering artifacts.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, design discussions, code reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and seven or more years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience delivering software collaboratively within an engineering or Agile development team.
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, Node.js, React or a comparable frontend framework, and REST APIs.
- Experience with JSON, OpenAPI or comparable API specifications, automated testing, and troubleshooting across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
- Experience with Git-based development practices, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Working knowledge of AWS, cloud architecture, containerized applications, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform or comparable technologies.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure handling of application data, credentials, and secrets.
- Preferred experience with Express, MongoDB/Mongoose, Amazon DocumentDB, Redis, Valkey, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, PKCE, JWT, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, or MSAL.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and complete onsite fingerprinting.
