Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement scalable frameworks, libraries, testing infrastructure, and developer tools.
- Develop internal tools to automate workflows and streamline manual development lifecycle processes.
- Own and maintain core testing infrastructure for the development team.
- Drive the technical implementation of CI/CD pipelines and optimize build, test, and deployment processes.
- Partner with development, business analyst, and operations teams to understand application architecture and business workflows.
- Champion code quality, testability, shift-left practices, and well-documented framework designs.
- Research and integrate AI-powered tools for developer productivity and test effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, conduct code reviews, and serve as a subject matter expert on framework architecture and developer tooling.
- Assess and manage technology, compliance, and control risks in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in a technical development role.
- Experience architecting, designing, and implementing scalable applications, frameworks, or developer tools from scratch.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience or strong interest in integrating and using AI tools in a development context.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, business, and operations stakeholders.
- Experience in financial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of Behaviour-Driven Development principles and practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms is preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining shared libraries or open-source projects is preferred.
- Expertise in at least one major programming language such as Java or Python is preferred.
- Extensive experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, or Postman is preferred.
