Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate new features for Scaleway’s in-house Object Storage platform.
- Contribute to opening new Availability Zones and Regions.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed storage infrastructure.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational excellence.
- Participate in the Level 2 on-call rotation and troubleshoot complex production incidents.
- Collaborate with Data Center teams on hardware-related operations.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation and onboarding materials.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating large-scale Linux infrastructures.
- Strong understanding of high-load distributed infrastructure, including hardware, networking, SSDs, NVMe, RAID, Ceph, or S3 APIs.
- Solid experience with Linux system administration, networking, and infrastructure automation.
- Ability to read and understand Go code to debug internal tooling, contribute to its evolution, or propose architectural improvements.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and scripting.
- Good knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity, solution orientation, rigor, reliability focus, communication, collaboration, and comfort in a fast-paced technical environment.
