Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Geneious cloud products across various components.
- Integrate cloud services or write new ones, mainly in Scala with some Java.
- Own the entire development process from coding to production deployment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers to establish requirements and iterate on designs.
- Participate in testing, documentation, and support as part of a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in cloud and backend engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Kubernetes/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Strong backend engineering skills in Java and/or Scala, with experience in distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
