Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Go backend services and APIs for biomedical data workflows and real-time scientific analysis.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and processing services for large volumes of flow cytometry and biomedical research data.
- Develop robust backend architectures with senior engineers and technical leads, participating in design, code review, deployment, and iteration.
- Build and operate backend services on Google Cloud Platform and assist with cloud infrastructure improvements.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and apply observability, logging, and alerting practices.
- Contribute to frontend development in TypeScript and Angular and collaborate on APIs and integration contracts.
- Track tasks in Jira, manage GitHub pull requests, and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and other team discussions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality product outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 2+ years of equivalent backend or full-stack development experience.
- Experience developing scalable, production-grade backend services and APIs in Go.
- Fundamentals in Google Cloud Platform and cloud-based application development.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD workflows, including pull request management and automated pipelines.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems concepts.
- Ability to contribute across the full stack, with familiarity with TypeScript and Angular.
- Experience with data pipelines, large dataset processing, scientific computing, flow cytometry, biomedical research, data visualization libraries such as D3, or high-growth SaaS and enterprise software is advantageous.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is advantageous.
