Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and system design for scalable distributed platforms, microservices, APIs, and enterprise workflows.
- Own technical solutions end-to-end from complex problem definition and architectural design through implementation and production.
- Design reusable platform frameworks and self-service capabilities for service onboarding, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Drive engineering excellence across scalability, reliability, security, observability, and performance.
- Champion API-first development, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Partner with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and other teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Apply AI/GenAI and AI-assisted engineering to software design, development, testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, and operational insights.
- Explore emerging technologies through prototypes and proofs of concept and influence technology direction.
- Provide architectural guidance, mentor engineers, and influence technical decisions across teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of complex technical problems and influence on architecture or technical direction.
- Strong expertise in system design, software architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience building scalable APIs, platforms, and cloud-based SaaS/PaaS products.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience with Java or another modern backend programming language.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and production engineering.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/GenAI in software engineering, such as design, development, testing, code review, troubleshooting, or operational insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic architectural trade-offs in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
- Ability to learn and work across different technologies and toolsets.
