Responsibilities
- Ship features, enhancements, and improvements daily for Polar’s monetization platform.
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate on architecture, best practices, and code quality across the stack.
- Improve service quality and the overall developer experience.
- Engage with the developer community to identify pain points and solve them.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and scaling high-quality software.
- Ability to solve problems end to end and ship quickly.
- Strong proficiency with Polar’s stack or similar programming languages and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and multi-cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to developer experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, high-performing startup team.
- Bonus: experience as a startup founder or CTO, open source maintainer, or indie hacker.
- Bonus: experience with payments, billing, or developer tools.
