Responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for public sector clients.
- Design, deploy, and operate secure sovereign Google Cloud solutions onsite and in internal reference implementations.
- Implement foundational cloud platforms, including landing zones, IAM, VPC, and networking.
- Create architecture diagrams, design specifications, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to small technical teams and junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug live incidents and support cloud and IT production operations.
Requirements
- Hold at least one Google Cloud Professional-level certification.
- Demonstrate expertise in Google Cloud products and services, broader IaaS solutions, Kubernetes, and systems virtualization.
- Have experience architecting and engineering cloud-based solutions that meet business outcomes and non-functional requirements.
- Have strong communication skills for technical, non-technical, client, and management stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Bash, Python, Perl, cloud security, hybrid networking, site reliability engineering, and technical team leadership.
- Demonstrate problem-solving ability and examples of technical innovation or improvements to ways of working.
