Base Salary
$143k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Complete on-orbit geometric calibration of new FireSat satellites during the commissioning phase.
- Design and implement geometric calibration of multispectral infrared imagery.
- Develop and implement geolocation calibration algorithms.
- Continuously improve geospatial processing algorithms.
- Research and develop metrics for geometric accuracy and spatial data quality.
- Implement and operate production pipelines for geometric calibration.
- Write production-ready code.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain operational services.
Requirements
- PhD with 5+ years of experience or MS with 8+ years or BS with 10+ years in a relevant domain.
- Hands-on experience with geometric calibration of imaging instruments.
- Deep knowledge of remote sensing and photogrammetric processing.
- Strong mathematical skills in geometry, linear algebra, and statistics.
- Exceptional skills in Python-based development.
- Ability to work with a distributed, interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
