Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support secure, reliable, and scalable AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure for application and data hosting.
- Develop standardized, reusable cloud infrastructure services, Terraform and Ansible automation, shared modules, and enterprise repository code.
- Configure and integrate cloud compute, storage, database, identity, networking, security, monitoring, backup, and related services.
- Develop and support automation and CI/CD capabilities for infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, operating system, automation, application hosting, and integration issues through resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation procedures, and security and compliance artifacts.
- Participate in Agile activities, technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- Professional experience engineering and supporting cloud or enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, networking, identity and access management, security, and monitoring.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, patching, monitoring, certificate management, data protection, backup, and application hosting.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts including VPCs or virtual networks, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, IAM/RBAC, encryption, and secure connectivity.
- Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Experience using cloud-native monitoring and logging to troubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, networking, automation, and application-hosting issues.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, with experience in Agile and DevOps practices.
- Preferred experience includes application hosting architectures, cloud migrations, custom cloud solutions, customer-facing technical work, containerized or data-intensive workloads, relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, Terraform, DevOps, or infrastructure certifications, and regulated-industry or federal-government experience.
- Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust and complete onsite fingerprinting; U.S. citizenship is not required.

- Remote work is available, with a preference for onsite work in Bethesda, Maryland three days per week for candidates within 60 miles of the customer site; candidates may also be asked to work onsite as needed.
