Lead AI Software Engineer

- Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled frontend applications and Python backend services using React, TypeScript, FastAPI, Flask, and MCP.
- Own and contribute to MCP service implementations, including tool schemas, registration, API integration, authorization, and deployment readiness.
- Develop reusable MCP-compatible tools, skills, APIs, UI components, and modular agent capabilities for enterprise AI applications.
- Build agentic workflows supporting complex, multi-step objectives through MCP and skill orchestration.
- Integrate AI interfaces with backend APIs, MCP servers, RAG systems, and agent workflows.
- Implement authentication, authorization, access controls, RBAC policies, logging, tracing, monitoring, testing, and production support practices.
- Prepare services for deployment on OpenShift or Kubernetes-based enterprise container platforms.
- Write technical documentation, integration guides, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- Specialty software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong Python proficiency and experience building services with FastMCP, FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous services, event-driven architectures, AI or LLM systems, agent platforms, or AI APIs.
- Experience building frontend applications with React and TypeScript, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browser rendering, DOM APIs, and performance tuning.
- Experience with SSO, OAuth 2.0, API keys, token-based access, RBAC, scopes, authentication, authorization, and access control.
- Experience building or integrating MCP servers and understanding MCP tools, schemas, message flows, clients, servers, and lifecycle patterns.
- Experience developing agent-driven workflows with LangChain, Google ADK, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with automated testing using Playwright, performance testing, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and secure, scalable enterprise applications.
- Preferred experience includes FastMCP, Pydantic, JSON Schema, Zod, autonomous agents, RAG, vector search, embeddings, LangSmith, OpenTelemetry, Arize, Splunk, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Teams UI integration, prompt engineering, skill engineering, and knowledge graphs such as llm_wiki and OKF.
