Responsibilities
- Own and build Granola’s transcription features end-to-end across macOS and Windows.
- Develop audio capture, echo cancellation, transcription-provider and model integrations, local transcription, diarisation, and transcription UI/UX.
- Create logging and evaluation systems to measure and improve transcription quality.
- Optimize the application for speed, scale, and reliability.
- Use Granola extensively, interact directly with users, and design solutions to their transcription problems.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and other team members to develop the product.
Requirements
- Experience with audio capture and real-time media pipelines.
- Engineering experience at technology and product-driven companies.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, and React; Electron experience is preferred.
- Ability to work with native code and operating-system audio APIs such as CoreAudio and WASAPI when needed.
- Experience with speech-to-text models or providers.
- Interest in AI/ML is valued, but direct experience is not required.
- Comfort working in a startup and fast-paced zero-to-one environment.
