Software Development and Integration Engineer

Responsibilities
- Define software requirements, architecture concepts, integration strategies, and test plans with customers, systems engineers, and software development teams.
- Integrate software components, firmware, embedded applications, and third-party libraries into operational systems.
- Develop and maintain integration plans, procedures, automated deployment processes, build environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Create automation scripts for build, testing, deployment, and release workflows.
- Maintain software interfaces, integration dependencies, configuration requirements, build documentation, release records, and configuration management artifacts.
- Troubleshoot integration issues through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Support software verification, validation, system-level testing, software-hardware integration, and system performance validation.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer-focused capability development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of experience in software integration, software engineering, DevOps, or related technical roles.
- Experience with complex software development and integration projects, build and release processes, and deployment workflows.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, embedded systems, or other highly regulated technical environments.
- Preferred experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, software-hardware integration, automation frameworks, deployment pipelines, test automation, and continuous integration environments.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification activities, third-party software integration, configuration management, and release management.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship may be required for certain programs or contracts.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
