Responsibilities
- Test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate system performance while identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and mitigation needs.
- Provide input to Risk Management Framework processes and documentation.
- Plan and execute Mission Based Cyber Risk Assessments and Mission Based Risk Assessments–Cyber.
- Develop threat scenarios supporting cyber test events such as Cyber Table Tops.
- Analyze cybersecurity architectures and network diagrams, including security and operational objectives and trade-offs.
- Develop system security context, preliminary security CONOPS, and baseline system security requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity throughout the system lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer supporting Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, and hardware systems.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- DoD 8140 Level II certification such as Security+.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy principles, computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Preferred experience with space-based remote sensing systems.
- Preferred TS/SCI clearance.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field is preferred; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Preferred DoD 8140 Level III certification such as CISSP, ISSEP, or ISSAP.
