Responsibilities
- Specify, design, and implement functionality and user experiences for Vehicle OS tools such as messaging monitoring, messaging recording and replay, and vehicle emulation tools.
- Work with distributed messaging systems based on the Data Distribution Service specification.
- Own software and tools for future vehicles while enhancing developer and production environments for the Software Defined Vehicle OS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong command of C and C++.
- Experience with or willingness to learn Rust.
- Experience developing Linux system software, including distributed computing.
- Understanding of distributed computing system setup, usage, and development.
- Familiarity with modern distributed protocols or frameworks such as gRPC, Protocol Buffers, SOME/IP, and DDS.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and fluent English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include DDS or ROS2 experience, Rust proficiency, containerized-environment experience, automotive or Vehicle API knowledge, hardware signal simulation, SIL/HIL or model-based design experience, and experience with multinational teams.
