Base Salary
$75k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges and design scalable backend solutions.
- Implement and maintain Java REST APIs and related backend services.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify scalability and improvement opportunities.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and contribute to deployment automation.
- Work across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams in the regulated payments domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education plus 1+ years of work experience.
- Hands-on application development experience using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with event-driven microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Strong database skills with SQL, PostgreSQL, and Liquibase.
- Demonstrable CI/CD experience and experience deploying modern software in the cloud.
- Familiarity with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and software frameworks.
- Experience working on agile teams and using test-driven development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, dependability, and willingness to take responsibility across the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions or Argo CD, technical design documentation, JIRA, and Confluence.
