Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs and implement business logic, validation, and exception handling.
- Integrate SQL and NoSQL databases with external systems using ORM frameworks.
- Apply security using Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain code quality through reviews and clean coding practices.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments.
- Mentor junior developers and adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience in backend Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 or above.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and microservices design patterns.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, Log4j, and Logback.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architecture, distributed tracing, ELK, Prometheus, or Splunk.
- Preferred knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Preferred experience using GitHub Copilot and generative AI tools for development and problem-solving.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
