Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Build and expose RESTful APIs and implement business logic, validations, exception handling, and integrations with databases and external systems.
- Apply Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT to support application security.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, maintain code quality, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud deployments, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience designing and developing backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8 or above and hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
- Expertise in microservices design patterns including Circuit Breaker, Retry, and API Gateway.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Experience with SQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle; NoSQL databases including MongoDB; and ORM frameworks including Hibernate and JPA.
- Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and Log4j or Logback.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, independent working, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred experience includes event-driven architecture, distributed tracing, ELK, Prometheus, Splunk, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitHub Copilot, and generative AI tools.
