Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering internal developer platforms and tooling.
- Develop APIs, automation services, platform components, and service frameworks using Java and Python.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, software delivery automation, service provisioning, environment management, and release automation.
- Develop internal developer portals, self-service platforms, and tooling that improve engineering productivity.
- Improve observability, logging, tracing, monitoring, reliability, and operational efficiency for internal systems.
- Partner with DevOps, platform, frontend, product, and application engineering teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
- Lead technical design discussions for platform architecture and internal systems.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in developer experience, automation, and platform engineering.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Python.
- Experience building internal tools, platforms, or developer-facing systems and APIs at scale.
- Experience with Spring Boot, FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, cloud platforms, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, software delivery pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Familiarity with frontend integration using Angular and TypeScript.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, systems thinking, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include platform engineering, developer experience, internal tooling, event-driven systems, message queues, developer portals, GraphQL, API gateways, Terraform, observability tooling, build systems, test automation, release engineering, and large-scale engineering or monorepo environments.
