Base Salary
$85k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain cloud-scale services and platform components.
- Build systems supporting security, compliance, management, and reliability scenarios for internal and customer-facing services.
- Collaborate with security, operations, program management, compliance, software engineering, and data science teams.
- Investigate live-site issues, respond to incidents, participate in 24x7 on-call rotations, and restore service safely.
- Apply secure-by-design principles, threat modeling, and defense-in-depth throughout development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while gradually taking on broader technical ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with proven coding experience, or equivalent experience.
- Proven coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building and supporting large-scale production services with logging, monitoring, alerting, reliability, and availability practices.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps systems, source code management, CI/CD pipelines, and code review tools.
- Strong debugging skills across operating systems, applications, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, virtual machines, and networking.
- Experience with cloud security disciplines such as event collection, monitoring, detection engineering, or vulnerability management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
