Responsibilities
- Design and implement technologies that improve autonomous-driving models.
- Develop novel data-curation algorithms and pre-training, post-training, and fine-tuning recipes.
- Build and scale data-processing and model-training pipelines across real and synthetic datasets.
- Apply unsupervised pre-training, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, guidance, and selection techniques.
- Integrate foundation-model distillation recipes into onboard driving models.
- Deploy foundation models into production environments and support end-to-end delivery.
- Lead projects from ideation through deployment and document learnings and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior ML engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science focused on Robotics or Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proven experience with large-scale foundation models and alignment methods.
- Proven experience delivering applied research in real-world environments under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with PyTorch and Python.
- Experience building and scaling performant large-model training pipelines for distributed teams.
- Strong data-processing skills using NumPy, Pandas, and Apache Spark.
- Experience deploying foundation models into production environments and understanding the end-to-end process.
- Previous experience in robotics or autonomous driving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
