Base Salary
$185k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build components of the agent orchestration layer and coding-agent harness.
- Develop cloud development environments, on-demand provisioning, mocking, and data-seeding systems.
- Build parallelized builds, remote caching, test-splitting, and secure progressive rollout pipelines.
- Create developer portals with Golden Paths, scaffolding, and service/API catalogs.
- Embed automated linting, security scanning, and policy-as-code into engineering workflows.
- Make architectural decisions, lead investigations, guide refactoring, and design resilient, performant, secure distributed systems.
- Write production code, roadmap large infrastructure workstreams, and help the team deliver commitments.
- Own a major DevEx platform area as the recognized subject-matter expert.
- Mentor engineers in technical design and architecture and participate in interviewing and hiring recommendations.
- Partner with the Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager to turn multi-quarter strategy into shippable infrastructure increments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including recent hands-on platform or DevEx work within the last 6–12 months.
- Direct hands-on experience with AI or coding-agent tooling beyond process automation or code-review assistance.
- Experience shipping production CI/CD pipelines, build systems, internal developer portals, or test automation platforms at large or potentially distributed-system scale.
- Practical fluency with Kubernetes or Docker and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to operate independently on a small team and anticipate and plan around disruptions.
- Preferred: exposure to coding-agent-runtime work and experience driving AI-agent adoption across a team or organization.
- Preferred: experience with compliance-sensitive workflows, change management systems, or policy engines.
