Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services for consumer and business onboarding and money movement.
- Integrate with local banks, payment providers, identity and business verification vendors, and financial partners.
- Build, automate, and improve financial crime controls, including AML and fraud controls.
- Propose scalable, reliable, and compliant technical designs for diverse regional regulations.
- Participate in code and design reviews and provide constructive engineering feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and global engineering teams on regional expansion.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the MEA domain.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer delivering high-quality, scalable systems.
- Deep technical expertise in backend development and microservices architecture.
- Experience designing and building software systems and collaborating on technical designs.
- Strong product mindset and ability to take ownership and work autonomously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex challenges.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback in code and design reviews.
- Payments systems, money movement, financial integrations, or fintech industry experience is preferred.
- Experience leveraging LLMs such as Claude Code to enhance the software development lifecycle is preferred.
- Java proficiency is preferred.
