Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and operate platform-oriented core services for high-scale distributed systems across OnePay’s product ecosystem.
- Architect, build, manage, and scale Kafka-based event-streaming systems for real-time data flows and financial workflows.
- Develop internal developer tooling and shared infrastructure to improve engineering velocity, reliability, and observability.
- Build and evolve frameworks for constructing and orchestrating agentic applications and automated workflows.
- Partner with engineering, data, and AI teams to solve distributed-computing challenges in a secure, cloud-native AWS environment.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of software engineering experience in fintech, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale distributed-systems environments.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience designing, operating, and scaling Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
- Have deep expertise in distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and high-availability platform services.
- Have production experience with AWS cloud environments and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Have experience building developer platforms, internal tooling, or frameworks that help other engineers move faster.
- Familiarity with modern software engineering practices is helpful, though experience with OnePay’s exact stack is not required.
