Base Salary
$215k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the Stylus design system roadmap, triage, governance, adoption, accessibility coverage, documentation health, and design system quality metrics.
- Build and maintain complex shared components and determine when functionality should be a reusable primitive versus a one-off implementation.
- Create interactive prototypes in React and TypeScript, including animation, keyboard, and touch interactions, and validate them with customers.
- Collaborate directly with designers in Figma and code to refine interactions and assess implementation cost.
- Keep design and code aligned through tokens, legacy-component migration, and useful Figma-to-code tooling.
- Develop AI-ready design primitives, internal agents, skills, prompts, and workflows for designers and engineers.
- Document AI-assisted workflows and mentor engineers on design principles.
Requirements
- 8+ years of frontend development experience with strong design sensibility and deep expertise in CSS, the DOM, and browser rendering.
- Ability to make independent interaction and design judgments while balancing quality and implementation cost.
- Deep experience with design systems, including components, primitives, tokens, versioning, adoption, and governance.
- Experience owning roadmaps, setting quality bars, shaping work, and making prioritization decisions.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code and helping others use them effectively.
- Working knowledge of accessibility, keyboard and touch input, and user preference considerations.
- Nice to have experience with Figma plugins, automations, design-system adoption or accessibility CI checks, web components, multi-framework systems, desktop apps, browser extensions, or agent-facing and generative UI.
