Base Salary

$270k - $350k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set technical direction for Windows architecture and native integrations.
  • Improve onboarding, text insertion, screen context, and background behavior for performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose difficult performance and correctness failures across devices and applications.
  • Define and improve Windows user-experience metrics, including activation, satisfaction, performance, retention, and support volume.
  • Build reusable systems that improve quality across the Windows product.

Requirements

  • Experience designing a client system or platform that other engineers successfully built on.
  • Recent experience shipping meaningful production code.
  • Ability to debug unfamiliar systems from first principles.
  • Experience owning and improving metrics representing the user experience.
  • Strong architectural judgment combined with attention to product quality.
  • Deep Windows experience is advantageous but not required.
