Base Salary
$270k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for Windows architecture and native integrations.
- Improve onboarding, text insertion, screen context, and background behavior for performance and reliability.
- Diagnose difficult performance and correctness failures across devices and applications.
- Define and improve Windows user-experience metrics, including activation, satisfaction, performance, retention, and support volume.
- Build reusable systems that improve quality across the Windows product.
Requirements
- Experience designing a client system or platform that other engineers successfully built on.
- Recent experience shipping meaningful production code.
- Ability to debug unfamiliar systems from first principles.
- Experience owning and improving metrics representing the user experience.
- Strong architectural judgment combined with attention to product quality.
- Deep Windows experience is advantageous but not required.
