Responsibilities
- Build and maintain client-facing web applications, internal tools, APIs, and microservices.
- Design and operate frontend applications, backend services, asynchronous queues, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Design, and Data teams to streamline workflows and deliver scalable software.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code with emphasis on security, data privacy, and operational reliability.
- Contribute to architecture, testing, observability, and developer experience improvements.
- Depending on experience, shape technical direction, mentor peers, and raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or comparable practical industry experience building production-grade software.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Practical experience building and operating frontend web applications and production backend services, including APIs, databases, and serverless or lambda systems.
- Understanding of GraphQL, authentication and authorization patterns such as JWT, and service-to-service integrations.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Git, cloud infrastructure, and production observability and debugging.
- Ability to make pragmatic engineering and product trade-offs and take ownership from idea through production.
- Professional fluency in English and clear, concise communication skills.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, queues, asynchronous workflows, Python, Java, Kotlin, or regulated and high-security environments is a plus.
