Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend and frontend components of NavVis IVION.
- Develop the Java/Spring application server and Angular/TypeScript web client for 3D visualization, mapping, and data management.
- Contribute to the PostgreSQL/PostGIS data layer for processing geospatial data at scale.
- Build and enhance APIs for digital enrichment of environments and third-party integrations.
- Deliver APIs and SDKs and gather developer feedback to guide improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver robust technical solutions.
- Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, testing, performance optimization, and reliability improvements.
- Define technical roadmaps, drive cross-functional consensus, and help shape technical direction.
- Support and mentor engineers and foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Typically 7+ years of software development experience delivering complex systems.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, modern web application architectures, and TypeScript.
- Frontend experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and scalable data-intensive services.
- Experience delivering APIs and SDKs and incorporating developer feedback.
- Ability to define technical roadmaps and drive consensus in cross-functional environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of C++ is welcome.
- Exposure to AWS services, geospatial data, or 3D graphics/WebGL is a bonus.
