Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize AWS cloud-native infrastructure using services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and EKS.
- Design secure, scalable, cost-effective, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analyses, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Implement disaster recovery, cloud security controls, IAM policies, VPC designs, encryption, and key management with KMS.
- Maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and support CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Implement observability, logging, and alerting solutions for complex transactional systems.
- Support vulnerability management, configuration management, patching, regulatory compliance, audits, and evidence collection.
- Create technical documentation and contribute to technical planning, backlog development, design, and production delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or education and experience typically obtained through equivalent qualifications.
- At least 7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles, including at least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS core services, Kubernetes/EKS, Linux environments, Docker, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Experience delivering business-critical systems, implementing compliance controls, and applying mature engineering and DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing observability at scale for complex transactional systems.
- Current AWS or other cloud-based certifications are required.
- Strong collaboration, customer responsiveness, documentation, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Background and drug screen are required.
- Preferred qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; experience with AppDynamics, Twistlock, Aqua Security, C#, Ruby, or Python; knowledge of ACH/EFT, RTP, or FedNow; and experience in FinTech, banking, or other regulated industries.

- Contract position with a stated pay range of $56.73-$73.07 per hour.
