Base Salary
$180k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable backend systems for real-time communications.
- Design and implement critical APIs to support user-generated content.
- Collaborate with product, infra, and data teams on system architecture.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions.
- Ensure systems can handle thousands of requests per second.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with scalable microservices.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and distributed systems.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS preferred) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
