Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and architecture for LLMs on Jade.
- Design, build, and scale new member-facing capabilities for Jade.
- Build evaluation frameworks and guardrail systems for LLM-powered features.
- Develop backend services and internal tooling to improve reliability and performance.
- Champion AI-native development practices across the team.
- Drive experimentation and rapid iteration through A/B testing.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, data science, and risk.
- Contribute to technical design and uphold high standards through code reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or full-stack software development experience.
- Deep expertise in system design and architectural patterns for high-scale systems.
- Proficiency with Python or comparable frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered product features at production scale.
- Strong judgment about applying AI and calibrating model autonomy.
- Experience with transactional databases and caching systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
- A product mindset with a bias toward action.
