Senior Cloud Engineer
Schneider ElectricResponsibilities
- Develop simple, understandable software for collecting, analyzing, operating, and presenting building data.
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform.
- Create and maintain internal tools for testing and monitoring.
- Work with monitoring and alerting systems and operate software under strict service-level agreements.
- Contribute to continuous deployment and make independent technology and architectural decisions.
- Communicate technical and code decisions clearly in writing and verbally.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working with monitoring and alerting and operating software under strict service-level agreements.
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and its extended tooling ecosystem.
- Deep knowledge of either Rust or Go.
- Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Terraform.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and their ecosystems regularly.
- Experience with distributed teams across locations and time zones is a bonus.
- Fluency in YAML, pipelines, Terraform, and scripting is a bonus.
