Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify and implement appropriate technologies, platforms, and workload placement strategies.
- Design solutions using cloud capabilities such as elasticity, serverless, and containerisation.
- Apply security principles and resiliency expectations to solution designs.
- Assess solution impacts on risk, capacity, cost, project changes, and ongoing operating costs.
- Support operational teams with fault finding and performance issues using available tooling.
- Produce architecture, privacy, security, and records management governance artefacts.
- Guide technical direction, lead complex assignments, and advise functional leadership and senior management.
- Manage and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Build stakeholder relationships and use influencing and negotiating skills to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex technology solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, automated delivery tooling, cloud capabilities, security, and resiliency.
- Ability to compare complex alternatives, conduct in-depth analysis, and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to guide technical direction, lead collaborative assignments, and coach less experienced specialists.
- Ability to advise senior stakeholders and manage risks, controls, governance, costs, and schedules.
- Ability to collaborate across business functions and maintain trusted internal and external partnerships.
