Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver high-quality software solutions for business, platform, and technology capabilities.
- Lead development of Android applications using Kotlin and Java with clean code principles, scalable architecture, and appropriate design patterns.
- Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability across diverse Android devices.
- Implement unit testing, UI testing, and CI/CD automation to maintain code quality and deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, UI/UX teams, and engineers to define requirements and align solutions with business goals.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Stay current with Android platform changes, technology trends, and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building and knowledge sharing.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and contribute to policies and procedures supporting governance objectives.
- Support the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects according to plan, budget, quality, and governance standards.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Android core concepts, architecture, and design patterns.
- Professional experience developing Android applications with Kotlin and Java.
- Experience ensuring mobile application security, performance, and scalability.
- Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and CI/CD automation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and guide collaborative assignments.
- React or React Native experience is a plus, particularly for hybrid mobile platforms.
- Awareness of financial drivers and how mobile solutions contribute to business outcomes.
- Ability to make evidence-based decisions balancing performance, risk, and customer impact.
