Responsibilities

  • Lead complex and companywide technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and review complex large-scale technology solutions.
  • Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for technology solutions.
  • Lead projects and teams, mentor peers, and drive new technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, developers, operations teams, and global stakeholders.
  • Build and deploy containerized applications and support observability, monitoring, release management, and automation.
  • Use GitHub Actions and version control systems to manage code and deployments.
  • Support risk, compliance, governance, monitoring, escalation, and remediation requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of J2EE development experience.
  • At least 5 years of microservices experience with REST APIs.
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering complex enterprise-wide information technology solutions.
  • Experience with distributed streaming and event-driven architectures, including Kafka or similar real-time data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud and container technologies such as AKS, Azure, OCP, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Kafka, BigPanda, and Splunk.
  • Experience with middleware messaging platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automation tools.
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Git, and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with GenAI technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and agentic AI solutions.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB and SQL/NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum and strong verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in science or technology is desired.
